I have a car audio sub, Elemental Design's e12a, that I'm thinking about moving in for home audio purposes. It'll take 500-600 watts to get it moving in a ported box, probably near 1000 in a sealed one. I'm wondering if I could buy a sub that might perform better for this application. Here are some paramaters:

Sd : 0.0465 m^2

XMax : 26.0 mm

So yeah, if I sell this, my budget equates to around $500, hopefully no more (considering only amp & driver). Yes, box size is somewhat important to me (dorm room), so my sub looks appealing, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'd like to hear them. Or advice on a box for this current sub, either/or.
