By chance, I found that the SLS - home series has been supplemented by a 15 inch sub, the 830867 (stamped frame with vented spider, Al shorting ring).
The SLS12home sells here for around €75 including tax ($85 w/o tax, but our prices are generally higher than Madisound pricing anyway). It has a nice motor and very stiff paper cone. The surround is not one of those oversized bicycle tire affairs that only generate 2nd order distortion through bending hysteresis.
The SLS15-PA (same thing as the new driver, but with less excursion, higher sensitivity and folded paper surround) had excellent distortion behavior in a recent magazine test.
