    Cast-frame driver mounting

When mounting subwoofer drivers, I tend to go all-out and use blind nuts (lately, the hurricane ones) and machine bolts, utilizing all 8 holes. This is a pain, and it's not easy to get them all aligned perfectly. Last project one was off a bit and I wound up pulling the nut out. Then I cursed and got a beer.
Anyway, with sturdy cast frames like these:

    or these:

Is it just as good to use four bolts? I don't like to curse, and I'm running out of beer.

I always use coarse thread screws with a drop of glue in the hole to harden the fibers. Never a problem.

My guess is 4 won't be enough. You probably take the risk of a cracked frame too.

Maybe we can help out, send money for beer?

I agree with Pete, I'd be nervous mouting a 10" sub driver with 4 bolts, much less one of these bad boys...
