Inductor size question

    Inductor size question

    Dan Wiggins has designed a speaker using CSS' new WR125S 4.5" driver with the Audax TM025F1. In the crossover it calls for 0.11mH 20 gauge (0.130 dcr), I looked all over and could not find a 20 gauge with those specs but I could find a 16 and 18 gauge with the same mH and dcr. Could a person use the larger size?

    Yes, the frequency is inductance dependant and the guage is load (current) dependant. It sounds like you know the numerically lower the guage the larger the current capability.

      If the larger gauge has the needed DCR then it's fine.
