Vifa Pl18's

HI ,
Does anyone on the forum know where I can buy Vifa Pl18's in Australia. Also with series crossovers do the same rules apply as in component sizes relative to impedence. I understand crossovers basicly but series xovers I don't know so much. I am goung to rebuild my 7.1 theatre with Wayne J's Eros all round except I was looking at making the 4 rears with a single Pl18 instead of 2 mainly for space saving and I would like to voice them exactly the same as the fronts.

Series crossovers are trickier, because the same components affect both upper and lower crossover points. When it all comes together, it's pretty cool (did a series crossover design for my daughter last year), but it's not nearly as flexible as a parallel. You may have trouble converting the design...

Series x-overs can sound very good, only using a handfull of components. My experience is that you need drivers with a smooth frequency curve. Otherwise things become difficult .
