Thanks Andrew. Hey, we can even let our hair down and talk like the ladys over design considerations, and such.
Well, it gives us a place to talk about design considerations and the impact they can have, without it being just a pure custom theater area.

Also, I really haven't given thought about moderation here, so I just put me down for now. I figure at least I can keep you lug nuts in order anyway.
Positively ingenious idea Bing.

Maybe this could also be the space we use to discuss room layout from the acoustics viewpoint, room treatments, and software for room analysis, etc.

Hey Guys, I'll probably start getting VERY lively on this threat here shortly! :B
So far the "Troll Room" is leaning towards a red/black look! 8)
Red/black seats, probably black carpet with black/red walls in a "funky" design (I'm currently working on). I have SOOOO many ideas running through my head it's crazy.
This will be a great place to get your input! I bet I'll drive you all crazy when I REALLY get going!!!!
COOL!

by MandroidLooking at the other subwoofer threads going right now, I am under the impression this is one of the few places to go for sensible input on subwoofer designs. I have been slowly selling off my larger speakers and subwoofers in favor of more modest equipment to put in the living room. Dedicated theater...-

by Andrew PrattGuys I just wanted to say that we'd prefer that you give some thought as to which area your post should go before placing it in Club Rotel. If your post is about a rotel product then obviously it belongs in here but there are others that should be placed in other area's so more people will see them....-

by 4-ironHello...
From a design point of view I can see the advantage of using an active crossover to 'voice' or dial in the low end of a 3-way system. But once you land on a preferred slope and crossover point, what considerations are there to 'translate' that back to a passive solution? Is it...-
