Yeah, these seats are the Salamander Matteo theater seats. Modular, available in colors and w/ or w/o motors. Brackets underneath each one so I just bolted my Clark Synthesis tactile transducers right on. Love 'em. Many good aspects.

if we had the yamaha 2600 that would be my pick

the htr series just doesnt look as sexy

i am not aware of any pioneer unit beyond the 1015

though the elite series would match your screens finish... hehehe

like i said the denon preformed very well for me just very cumbersome to use vs yamaha... id say go with the denon :T

Ahh, Chris, I remember those pics now! Yea, i like your rack!
Was wondering.. what kind of seating is that? It is the salamander seating! I saw them in your other pic thread.
Those are nice seats ive sat in them! The other Salamander seating looks sooooooo comfy... but ohhh so spendy! Man i could blow a years worth of pay easily on this stuff! So damn addicting!

Yea i know the tv uses DVI, was gonna get a HDMI to DVI cable, and I dont plan on running audio through the TV anyways. I wish the tv had HDMI inputs then i wouldnt have to worry about it, but it looked good and the price was right. Kofi told me to check it out, as he had the 26 in his bedroom and said its a great set for the price.
The guys at the office told me to check out the Denon or the Pioneer that does the HDMI converting. They were recommending the Denon.

Before I do any of that though, time to get a rack ordered!!

that lcd only uses dvi, so you would have to run audio seperatly
what it does with hdcp encription i do not know because i dont know if it accepts it
i found the denon 3806 not very user friendly, but ultimatly returned it because i just wanted two channel
the yamaha 5990 is worth a look too, aestheticaly i think the denon is nicer looking than that particular yamaha
i found the Sq to be indistinguishable running a rotel 1072 into the denon
using the rotels dacs vs the denon's dacs

ive been fighting the urge to buy the new lg slim fit hd tube.... looks so damn good

I have two Salamander Synergy racks, and six Salamander Matteo theater seats. I'm amazed at the build quality.

I have some pics of my triple in my theater in this thread HERE

My triple only has rackmounts in two of the three bays as an option, but my single has cherry sides, a glass door, and the extended rear. Both racks look awesome in their particular setting.

Yup, think im gonna put in an order for an S40 with sides next week, and go from there. It would be neat to get another and stack it, and then put all my gaming systems in their too.
Was checking out the Denon 3306?? The one with HDMI converting. Run everything into that, and a single HDMI cable to the TV

Ahh, was checking out the Salamanders, THEY DO LOOK NICE!
Im in a debate between those and the Sanus Component rack, I like em both, but im diggin how you can mix/build/add to the Salamander as you go along.

I like this Sanus, think it would look good with the N802s

Then was looking at the Salamander, everyone I asked said they are STOUT! Its good to hear more good words about them, i want something sturdy!
Thinking of the S40 Single, then i could get the s40 stack and have it go all the way to the cieling!

And putting the cherry sides on it like this one

Phase 1 of room cleanup complete, now i need to pick my cabinet!

What salamander rack do you have? Any pics?

No, it is just the homophobic and braggadocios insecurity that has been ingrained into their ignorant lives that makes them feel like they have to talk about how much money they make and how much better their stereo is while perpetuating degrading stereotypes.

In my opinion, the wood grain of the second rack will match the speakers, the furniture, and the room trim. It looks fagtacular! I prefer the Salamander Synergy line for the ultimate combination of looks and expandability, but their high price tag makes it hard to justify.

That is mighty kind of you to offer some samples from your collection, but I will pass.

I was bored, sure its off topic, and sure im not talking about Krell or B&W, or RPT, SED, HDTV etc etc etc. So what? Does everything on this website have to be about everyone elses $30,000 HT systems? Or their latest BMW or exotic car purchase?

    Naaaa,

maybe a nice afternoon watching broke back cowboy will inspire you

    hahahahaha

i just bought a schroers & schroers rack, absolutely the most stunning piece i have ever seen

the list was $3800, but i found a place in the USA that sells the model i got for $1100 delivered

actually, i didnt find squat, i was at a clients house who had a pair of B & W 801 matrix with a spectacular looking sony CD player and Levinson 2 channel amp,

    he told me about it,

as a side note, his system was breathtaking, wasnt set up all that well, speakers right against the back wall, a lot of furniture in front and to one side, with large open hallway next to one speaker

it blew me away, sound was just so clear, precise, bass was so fast and tight, i never would have expected such sound from such a simple set-up

now what were we talking about?

    :-)

I thought about building the a rack into the wall right there, and still might, but i took some measurements, and found these at work, and i get a discount on them, and they measured to fit perfect.

And yea, it almost seems like a martha stewart moment huh?

I'd go with the top rack. For one, the silver will blend into the wall much better and won't stick out like a sore thumb with the only thing closely matching it is the door frame. The silver will take your eyes off of the equipment "being there." It will somewhat hide the equipment back in the corner. Which, is what you want to do. Only have it noticed when you point it out to people.

Another thing to consider is, is that wall in the back a supporting wall? I think it would be cool to make an access way and build a "fake" wall up front with shelves in it so the equipment sits in there. That way all you would really see is the equipment itself and would get some noise dampening as well (if you wanted to run any type of cooling fans or what not for the equipment. Then, also, the back would allow access to all the wiring and everything, which if you put a small door or something, could be closed off so you wouldn't even see anything.

    Just an idea.

I would pick the one on the bottom, the colors blend in well with the colors that you have chosen for your room.

started a topic Opinion time, what entertainment rack ;)

Opinion time, what entertainment rack ;)

OK, so im moving all my equipment that is surronding my TV to the rear left of the seating position, there is an indent in the wall, that will fit an entertainment center i found through work. Now I need some opinions, they are both the same size and model, just differnt style.
I will be removing the carpet and re finishing the hardwood floors this summer, so keep that in mind. The PC, PS2, Xbox, cd, dvd, processor, etc will be on this rack, and the height is about where you see the tape mesure, and fits perfect width wise, and will stick out about another foot. The wiring will then be run through the basement and up behind the soon to be replaced TV and speakers.

    Taking all this stuff:

    And putting it here:

    On one of these

    What ya think?
I have my opinion, but looking for more.
