Jerry Sanders and Daniel Gregoire
Jerry Sanders, AMD's founder, came out and emphasized the "breakthrough technology" and assured everyone that "we did it right." Following him was Daniel Gregoire, director of the pre-visualization lab at JAK films, who works on the special effects for the latest Star Wars movies. Dan showed that the Opteron was more than powerful enough to render R2D2 on the screen in real time. Following his presentation, Dan showed us a tiny teaser of Episode 3, two Naboo fighters escorting what looked like a Naboo Royal Starship to Coruscant. Hopefully, this will not ruin Episode 3 for you.
