Hi! I own a BENQ PE7800. I have had it for over a year, and I am building a new house. Long story short, I have a 105 inch diag. screen. I think it is a widescreen format, as HDTV broadcast fill the screen. In my new theater, I would like to make the screen bigger. My question is, how large can I make it without sacrificing quality, or, a noticible sacrifice? I have been on hold with BENQ now for over an hour, and I don't where else to look. Please advise.

Thanks
Thank you. That helped. I got in touch with a human at BENQ and he told me that there was not really any quality loss up to 15 feet. Does that sound right? I ask because he did not seem too sure.- Bottom

The key is how far back the main seating is from the screen, the quality of the media that you are watching, and if you have total light control for the room.
I had a NEC DLP projector with a similar resolution and 800 lumens light output, and it looked very good projecting at 120" (diag) when viewed from 14' away with full room light control.
Especially with scaled DVDs and HD material.
