    Server Migration 2025

Can you believe it has been 3 years since the last HTG server migration? It has, and it was time to get the OS updated, PHP, and the database to stay in the supported versions for the forum software.

Most of the migration was copy/paste along with using rsync and SCP. All data should be migrated and members should not notice any changes other than hopefully better performance. The forum is running on a bigger server now with more resources.

There is a DNS change, and that will eventually update for everyone. If you do run into issues with resolving to the new server, you can flush your DNS cache.

If you do run into any issues, please post in this thread for me to track and resolve.

Thanks for your patience and being a member of the forum

Where do I post If I just have issues because only one box of two for my new recliner for the A/V room arrived Sunday, and I have to wait until Wednesday for the other?

Maybe a PM to Letiennam, since it was made in Vietnam?

        Just kidding, Just kidding!!

Site seems to be working fine, other than my system slow down (CPU loading of 75%) this AM due to complete malware check disk scan!

(OTOH, since it is for my Home Theater setup, should I do a post about it? And where?) (if this is the biggest problem I have on a Monday morning, it may be a good week...)

Just to give a hint, the design attracted me because it looks like it took inspiration from the Coalessse Bob chairs we had in the lobby at Infineon national HQ in Milpitas, but with some extras... including much nicer construction and features- and that's comparing it to a model that retails online for over $2900 in the US from Steelcase.

This new chair will be replacing a 30+ year old Danish recliner that had finally given up the ghost mechanically- note, the black top grain leather surface material was still in good shape... interestingly, apart from color, the leather surfaces in the new chair look and feel very similar. High quality. And a very high quality base construction.

ID:	958470And just to REALLY high jack this thread, the version of the Coalesse Bob that is a basically similar design, but upholstered with cloth.

Seriously, I think Sven is to be congratulated and thanked for all the work he's put into HTG as well as this most recent effort (especially considering everything else going on) migrating HTG to a new server!

It is, Infineon used them for good reason. which is why I was attracted to the CHITA Elvin, as it captures much of the fundamentals, but includes a nice reclining mechanism, and an ottoman.
