This comes in the category of "what on earth will happen next?", perhaps, but for those of you who have difficulty finding the HiVi drivers in stock, and may not find it convenient to order from Canada, can now try one of the largest distributors of loudspeaker drivers in the US of A- good old Madisound Speakers.
As usual, they have a real nice PDF put together of the available products, including some nice pics and info of that perrenial mystery driver I like, the M12.
Get it here.
And when's the last time anyone has seen an M6a? NOT M6n....
And for your next interesting off the wall project, how about that SP10 subwoofer driver? Would make a good IB or DIPOLE mini-subwoofer, for someone without a lot of room.... not cheap, though. Pretty knarley looking for a 10", though.
Next thing you know, your local Chevy dealer will be selling Fords....
Speaking of Madisound, I had a box waiting on my porch this evening, the replacement set of D2904/SS9800's - the last set I got from them seemed to have been tested or wonked with, as though they hadn't been soldered, the voice coils were locked, impedance curve VERY stange, and they didn't put out much sound.... Madisound was quite gracious and prompt about arranging replacements.
