I made a pair of MarkK's ERDXT's slightly modded (in Zaph L18 box) in 2009 and I'm very happy with them. I run them in a 5.1 setup as LR mains, but also in 2.0 for acoustic folk/jazz.
I have a JBL/Infinity HCS center-speaker which is okay but I'd like to make a phase-matching center. I'd like it to be smaller than ERDXT, using Seas DXT and perhaps SEAS L12 or CA12 midwoofer . The Finnish company Hifitalo has a speaker using DXT and L12 but I don't like it's xo and schematics, link . They don't show phase or response curves.
Or perhaps a double L12/DXT in MTM, because different sensitivity and impedance doesn't matter with a HT amp. I don't know of xo-desing, so is it at all possible to make a phase-matching version with L12 using Mark's xo for the tweeter. I'm using a sub, so <80Hz isn't needed and I don't play very loud, so MTM isn't necessary however.
I have emailed Mark about this but he is perhaps too busy, so I'm asking HTGuide members for help.
