building a test dipole

I happen to have some tweeters and mids laying here. some MB Quarts from my comps set. I dont have much in the ways of crossovers, besides the original crossover. BUt I do have a radio shack sound meter. anyways, how can I use these things to build a dipole and see how loud it gets, and possibly how it sounds. even like this. perhaps i can use the crossover internals and bridge them seperately to the speakers.
