Any plans to upgrade your amp?
About the amp, its really a lot more capable than one might think (without hearing it) and certainly goes loud enough to shake the neighbours. IMO, and limited experience, it drives the 802D's really well. OK, so I wouldn't say no to a pair of RB-1091's!

Email pic to posted pic
I have a pic of my system in an emal. How do I post it here? My system profile is-------------------------RF-7 Klipsch speakers with [Dean xover], Rotel RB 1090 power amp, Audio Research SP 11 pre amp [ tweaked with Herbies tube dampers] and a Sony DVP NS9000ES SACD player [upgraded to level 6 by Vacuum State]. Anti-cable for speaker wire and Cat Cables silver Kingcats for interconnects. Velodyne DLS 5000R sub. Belkin Pure AV 31D power conditioner. All components including amps are plugged directly into the power conditioner which is on a dedicated 20 amp hard wired outlet. 1 Alan Maher Power Enhancer (PE) and one PE are plugged into the Belkin PLC. 5 more PE are in non a/v circuits on same phase of sub panel. Eight ASC Tube/Bass Traps. All components are on 2 side by side heavy oak racks each 6 1/2 feet tall. Every component is isolated from its shelf by Mapleshade isoblocks with a 2" thick maple block/platform on the isoblock and large brass cones between blocks and components.Large and small brass weights are on top of all components. SACD player, SP 11 power supply and 1090 amp also have laminated steel VPI bricks on top. RF-7 speakers are on large brass cones on maple blocks which have large carpet piercing cones under the blocks Six Shakti stones are taped to my main power panel and sub panel to filter noise. Maher reference pwr cords and (IEC) hammond chokes are on SACD and RB 1090. Double hammond chokes wired into PLC. Highwire coils to be added to 3 non detachable pwr cords.- Bottom

Thanks, Bill
Yes, that's the pic I wanted posted. Thanks Mr Hanna. The 2 Alan Maher reference power cords I installed yesterday, have taken my sound to a new level. Realism, realism, realism. And they take 30 days to fully break in with power left on for the SACD and RB1090 during that period. Boy this is fun when something works sooooh well. BTW the cords are I think, now $200 each. They were introduced at $175 when I got them.- Bottom

Hi crispy. They don't make them for subs specifically and I don't have room in my rack above the sub to try it. You might try Pier I and give it a try. BTW the reference cords are still $175 for the 5' which I have. Link http://alanmaherdesigns.com/RPC.aspx- Bottom

Rotel, etc in a cabinet
Not wanting to see exposed in the living rooom assorted harnesses, wires and stuff, I designed and had built an oak cabinet to place all my HT components. Desigend as 3 modules resting on small rollers I can easily get to the backs of everything.
Since the room was never designed with audio in mind, Windows on one side, the formal dinning room on the other, then a fire place on the south wall, I had to place all front main, front surround, center speaker and one subwoofer speakers in the cabinet. The rear surround and other speakers are located adjacent to the fireplace. No place for 7.1. Oh well, at age 70, my hearing's not as acute....
The Rotel, such a sweet sound, so many available inputs!

Hello everyone. My gears are not exclusively Rotel, but here they are. The Rotel amp is the latest addition to my system, and I'm very satisfied with its performance.

Thanks yourtoys7. This set up is for 95% music with occasional concert DVD. Organically grown from a two channel music system, although these days I tend to play MCH recordings more.- Bottom
