A US remake from the brilliant UK series. I'll be really interested to see how the US version fairs out. William H. Macy really does look the part in the promo pic I saw.

If the show remains true to the original's roughness, grittiness and hard hitting honesty - it should be great. If it's toned down or softened in any way, I'd be dissapointed for the American audience.

It really is a fantastic show, over here.

Oh it's extremely gritty and hard hitting. Showtime usually doesn't tone down anything from what I've seen

After watching a few episodes I have to say it sure doesn't seem like they are babying anything up to look more tame. I'm quite hooked though it's an intriguing show with a lot of depth to the story.

Just a heads up, season premier is this Sunday the 13th! Can't wait! A lot of good shows starting back up this week and next week.

I watched quite a few episodes of Californication, House of Lies, and Shameless last weekend to get up to speed again. I am hooked on all 3. I needed a shower or two to wash the filth off of me, lol. Should be interesting to see these shows develop this year.

This is season 3 of Shameless, isn't it? or is it 4?

Yes this is season 3. And I to love all 3 shows! Shamless is probably number 1 for me, and a tie between House Of Lies and Californication for number 2 spot.
