I was listening to "Tales of Mystery and Imagination Edgar Allan Poe"
and was Very impressed with the recording of this Disc... Anyone else have any favorites by the Project???
from a post I made back in March of this year re: "What CD are you listening to now?"
'The Best of the Alan Parsons Project'
A compilation of Alan's work form 1977 to 1983.
NOTE: I typically stay FAR, FAR away from any CD that has 'Best Of' and/or "Greatest Hits' anywhere in its title'
None the less, It's one of those albums that makes you say 'I forgot all about these songs, but heard them all the time when I was a kid'.
It's a good listen, brings back fond memories and is good music to boot.
He was ahead of his time, IMHO.
A 'fun' CD for us 'Baby Boomers'.
Anybody remember 'Phychobabble' or 'I Wouldn't Like to be Like You'?
Parson's has a wide range to choose from. Each project has a different
messege to deliver. If I had to choose a favorite single track and there are a lot of them, I guess I would select "Cloud Break" off of the "On Air" disc.
I've owned some of his albums\cds, somewhat a fan, currently have I Robot and Eye In The Sky. Favorite is probably I Robot, I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You and Breakdown . Come to think of it I might have to look for a few other that I used to have.
Its hard to say what my favorite album would be, for sure I Robot is right up
there... off that album I really like The "The Voice" the whole disc is right up there with that track though.... What can you say about the Engineer of
1973s Dark Side Of The Moon...
