SSP-800 warm in stand by?

    SSP-800 warm in stand by?

    I just got the SSP-800 (finally, waited so many years) and i love the soundstage this thing gives, the sound itself is different from my old CP-500 but not sure it's overall better. Just as good but different perhaps?

    Anyway
    when the SSP is in standby mode it is warm - is this 'normal' ?
    Also, turning off the display blinks red for a split second - 'normal' ?
