    Center-stand-rack-FINALLY

All the parts for the mains and CC were bought back in 2006. The mains have been done over a year, but other jobs got in the way ot the CC. I finally had a chance, and managed to get mostly done before cold weather and the Holidays killed spraying and dust making. :T
The shelves will get 3/4" maple edging, and I need to veneer the body, but it's at that place where DIY'ers sometimes don't go farther--making noise!

In case anyone's interested, I'm using waterborne lacquer, and I have a way to color it. No more lacquer thinner. Quite a boon.

      nice design & build.
Your Image shack has some good images of your projects.
However, that site is annoyingly slow & clunky.

How is the speaker attached to the stand? I Ask because I don't see a shelf, and that looks awesome!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I only use it because the link works. I have stuff on Picasaweb. Preferable, but I can't get the links they have to work. Which sites do you prefer, if any? I may try one.

Speaking of which, Carl, I'll send the answer to your ?? in a bit, when I find a better site or learn cut and paste the url the right way :B:B

dumaresq, this is the column attachment:

holes through the sides, which are close to 2" thick, allow 3/8" socket head bolts to go into brass threaded inserts in the column:

Inside view all bolted down with the cable exiting through the body via a rubber compression grommet and rigid pipe coupling sealed to the speaker with epoxy:

I think this forum's prefered method is to attach the images to the post. I remember Thomas mentioning that this was preferable because external links die, change or the image gets deleted after awhile. You can insert the attached photos into the message body full size.

Great work on your speakers, they look beautiful. :T

eh, no joy. Well I'm hungry to start a new plan already. Maybe in three years I can figure a more elegant way to share the pics

Actually, I think resizing them to 100k and attaching them is the best way. With the right compression, 100k files can look great - like the one you attached.
