Yeah, one of the new ones, in a BTO configuration with the highest spec parts. This is the project three of us were in Cupertino for a year and a half working at the customer labs... so I figure I owe it to myself! (there were a LOT of other people from our company working on this, but they were in Munich...)

I would have thought they would just give you one for Beta testing?
You are not the kind of absent minded professor type that would leave it at the coffee cafe, are you?
I love the form factor and could care less about the CPU. But deleting the most important innovation in the history of laptops (MagSafe) was just stupid stupid stupid. I still can't believe Apple did that. So it's a new MBP for me when back to school sales roll around this summer.
Agreed, MagSafe has saved my laptop too many times. Perhaps with such good battery life, you won't need to use it "on-charge" as often. I'm interested to see how all these USB-C adapters will look and cost. I think I'll be looking at one in the summer... when the shipping times have settled. It's definitely enviable.
