    Using cable jumpers with a B&W 703 speaker.

    As suggested by 703 manual it's recommended that one can connect both the positive and negative of the speaker cable terminals to the woofers first, or to the tweeters first, it doesn't really matter. However, if the speaker cables are connected to woofer first, I find that the sound becomes a little bass heavy. If connect to tweeters first, then I find the sound of the highs over whelming.

    In each configuration there always a time mismatch with impact in overall sound.

    Thus, I've tried to connect one speaker cable to the upper binding post and the other to the bottom. This results in a more coherent sound.

    I've your tried?

    Any explanation for these results?

    Hmmmm that's interesting... I never really thought to do that... now I may have to try with a set of speakers............ It makes sense as that's then definitely equally travelling across the speaker (ie, there's no "longer" pathway).
    Digital Audio makes me Happy.

      I would appreciate to hear about your findings when you have the change to try. Meanwhile a friend told me that a French speaker’s manufacturer, Davis Acoustics, recommends such a configuration:

        Yup, I did this when I got my Valhalla which is shotgun cable, replacing my biwire Tyr.

        I started with the 804s and continue to do it today with the Vivids. The diagonal configuration is the best sounding of the available options and I use the Nordost jumpers as well ( Norse, not Valhalla).
        Mac 8gb SSD Audirvana ->Weiss INT202 firewire interface ->Naim DAC & XPS2 DR->Conrad Johnson CT5 & LP70S-> Vivid B1s. Nordost Valhalla cables & resonance management. (Still waiting for Paul Hynes PS:M)
