A Word to new members and members to be-
Well, just as I had planned, A/V Chalet appears to be the general meeting place. So, I think it appropriate for me to say a few words here, that are really administrative in nature.
I want each of you to know, that we do not require you to use your real name at HTGuide.com. I think a good many of you are very comfortable doing that, but some of you, that shall remain nameless, are used to a certain monikor, and enjoy using that. I encourage you to use whatever you are comfortable with! Just please make it something fun and meaningful, not demonic or otherwise unsuitable monikors. Those will be requested to be changed on an individual basis as they show up. I think we can still command a certain level of respect, not using our own names, just as I think I have for years with the Lexman monikor. But if anyone is more comfortable calling me Doug, that's fine! I will answer to either  If anyone begins to take cheap shots, hiding behind some ficticious monikor, then it will be time to re-evaluate this policy, and especially for that individual. But let it be known first and formost, I do not want to kill the natural energies of the forum with rules that are only rules for the sake of being rules! I don't have a problem with a few bad words, just please no sailor talk. I think we do have a text monitor in place that removes some words, or at least *** them, and I may re-evaluate what it checks for as time goes along. d**nit. I want the place to be suitable for all, but not to be to " good" , for the common guy, like me. I just wanted to let this be known early on. So, if any of you wish to re-evaluate your member name, now is the time to do it. Thank each and every one of you, for inviting us into your homes, and offices here at HTGuide.com. Those that are just lurking, come on! Sign up, and become a part of the newest, and soon to be one of the most exciting places on the net for learning about Audio Video. We already have a lot of special things here, with the presense of the http://www.htguide.com. By that, I mean nearly 800 A/V related URLs already at your access and our text description as well as the URL itself, is fully searchable. Bob, thanks. Not sure where that came from, but perhaps it was a result of seeing me post under dougW at HTF? Well, I figure better to give a little and get a little. (I been hoping to get a little lately, lol.)
