Corvette Research
After reading sir Lex's breakdown of the rareness of the Shelby possibly being one of four produced with particular options , I decided to research my 1998 Corvette to find out the "Exclusiveness" of my particular model and options of the exterior.
Eventually I want to come up with a "One of ##" fact.
Facts I had obtained so far..
*In 1998 there were 11,849 convertibles manufactured out of a total of 31,084 vettes made that year. The rest were coupes.
*I know that there was 1,567 Vettes produced in Light Carmine Red of the total 31,084.
*I know that 1,425 Vettes included the Magnesium wheel option out of the total 31,084.
*I know that 1,425 Vettes included the Firethorn Red interior out of the 31,084 and actually 447 were in the Convertible model.
*I know that 8,630 of the 11,849 convertibles have a Black top.
Now if I can just get a finer breakdown between Coupe and Convertible #'s for the mentioned options I should be able to get the Exclusiveness pinned down.
So the research continues......................
From what I can tell so far..Mine would have to be pretty darn rare.
