FP is getting cheaper than RPTV. I wouldn't go for the Dell, but for many people just getting into front projection, there are many very inexpensive PJs like the Infocus X1 or the Sanyo Z1 that are reported to project an amazing picture for less than $1500. US.

That is truly an amazing price!
I bought the Dell LT150 DLP FPTV for around $1800 (a great price at the time) and I enjoy using it every day, with it's stunning picture, and many convenient features.
Most people don't think about small digital projectors because the A/V stores don't offer or promote them. But it's not because they aren't great, it's that the small FPTVs don't have near the profit margins or convenience features (tuner, PIP, speakers) of the traditional RPTVs.
