Sanyo Z4 Problem

Has anybody else had a problem with the Sanyo Z4 Projector?

I've had mine since January and have been really happy with the performance, it has very few hours on it and up until end of last week had been working fine.

Now if I leave it on for about 20 minutes it powers off completley, no warning lights the fan stops, shutter stays open nothing at all works. If I turn it off at the back and leave it a few minutes I can get it back on. Just wondered if anybody else has seen it.

Has anybody else had a problem with the Sanyo Z4 Projector?I've had mine since January and have been really happy with the performance, it has very few hours on it and up until end of last week had been working fine. Just send it back, we went through 3 or 4 Benq's at work before they finally sent us a " good one" :roll: . these projectors are built as disposable devices, but the trick is to make them fail just outside warranty and sometimes the manufacturer miscalculates.

I'd just send it back and get a new one. With the fan stopping and not cooling the bulb, you're bulb will go bad a lot faster, so don't think it will "fix itself".

I concur, send it back, that is definitely not normal operation, it seems like a lamp circuit failure.
