For me number one was HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL, with WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE a close second. The actors ( Richard Boone and Steve McQueen, respectively) made them hits for me. There were a lot of other good ones I enjoyed, but I never missed an episode of the above two show.

Just ordered the third season of Have Gun Will Travel to go with the first two and will buy the entire series as it is released. Don't own any other westerns. Might consider Heck Ramsey or Brisco County Jr. though.

Feeling a sense of deja vu, I did a search and found that we sorta discussed this already. :D Although the original topic was about westerns in general, the ones on TV were all mentioned. Anyway, my favorite TV western is a toss-up between Have Gun, Bonanza and Gunsmoke.

There was a made-for-TV-movie called Purgatory (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158131) that I really like. While not a series, it definitely is my favorite "TV Western".

Glen's correct, we did have a thread in At The Movies called Your Favorite Westerns? (http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthread.php4?t=10581). It wasn't about TV-only shows though.
