I was a huge fan of the original series, waaayyy back that starred Darren McGavin, so I had to watch the new series that premiered last night on ABC. It was okay, but didn't have that scary touch of the original. I'll watch a few more before writing it off.

hello,

it was just okay last night. my biggest problem was no 5.1 sound from comcast in philly last night. and it was not a 1080i hd broadcast. but i'll give it a few more episodes also.

Ahhh, yes. I remember the original series well. Darren McGavin was perfect for that role. One could even go so far as to say it was the first generation of XFiles. :)

It seems like I remember this original show. But I am not certain.

Being it's an ABC show it won't be. It'll be in 720P.

never really understood why a company would shoot with a camera like the sony f900 (can shoot 1080p) and then only show it in 720p. they could save so much in production costs by going with the panasonic varicam which shoots only 720p...

my mistake night stalker was shot with the new panavision genesis. thats even worse as that camera is capable of 2k, and quite expensive to rent.

One reason is the great quality masters it can produce. It's an instantly ready source for high definition DVDs.
