Guilty pleasures or just plain FUN DVDs?

After going through the "favorite" or "best" movies thread, I thought I'd start this one to list movies that probably aren't destined to be classics but are fun DVDs that you just have to watch again and again!

    Here's my nominations:

Austin Powers (esp. the first two): fun, colorful, and great for laughs!

Back To The Future: My all time favorite fun movie. The best sci-fi comedy ever made in my opinion! The best line: "My density has brought me to you."

Charlie's Angels: Eye candy, simply eye candy. Rumor has it there are some hot cars in this movie as well.

Christmas Vacation: The holiday season isn't the same without this one!

Fifth Element-Superbit: I think I've seen the LeeLoo reconstruction through the dive scenes about a thousand times, but once in a while I'll watch the whole thing, and think, wow, what a fun flick. Awesome transfer, great sound, fun story and Milla Jovovich ain't half bad either

Ghostbusters: Worth it just to hear the line "Ray... when someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!" Too many one-liners for one movie, so they had to make a sequel.

Office Space: If the Academy were staffed with corporate cubicle dwellers, this one would win an Oscar!

Short Circuit: One of my favorites from the 80s, and a big guilty pleasure of mine. "No disassemble Number 5!"

Top Gun: May be a bit dated now, but hey I like the flight scenes and Heather likes Tom Cruise. And like many movies from the 80s, the soundtrack rocks!

The Wedding Singer: Probably the most rewatchable disc in my collection IMHO. Very crankable soundtrack with great 80s music, Adam Sandler at his finest (IMHO), Drew Barrymore (another guilty pleasure of mine ) a great looking transfer and a fun story make us keep coming back to this one.

That could just as easily be my list, but with these added:

    KING KONG, the original
    THELMA 7& LOUISE
    THE JERK
    DESPERADO
SCARY MOVIE , the first one.

Man, I could come up with hundreds.

Yeah, Justin, Young Frankenstein is a favorite of mine, too. It's outright hilarious, especially Gene Hackman as the blind monk.

Growing up in NJ we always had Kung-fu theater on saturdays. Here are some of my guilty pleasures:

Any of the Wu-Tang Clan presents movies.... 18 Fatal Strikes, 10 Magnificient Killers.

Thier all great even though the video and sound are for crap but what great memories.

Wow, Burke, your list brought back some memories. I had Roxanne and Revenge Of The Nerds back in my VHS days but never got them on DVD.

Galaxy Quest was fun, but I never had the urge to rewatch it. I only use scenes from The Haunting for torture testing subwoofers. :B

Lately though, the #1 re-watcher in my house has been Office Space, given how my job's been going lately. :M

And I have another nomination to add from my collection: Dumb and Dumber. I have this one on LD, and it's probably my most rewatched LD.

Just remembered another movie Pulp Fiction. My wife and I watched that movie at least fifty times or more before we where married just trying to put the movie in the right order, but we came to the conclusion that it does not have any order to it if put together.

John, I LOVED Spawn! I thought it was one of the more interesting adaptations out there. Michael Jai White does "have game", plus it had some pretty good CGI.

David, maybe there is nothing in that briefcase. Their could be a big golden yellow smiley face in there It is a strange thought. I guess it could be anything are minds want it to be.

john, spawn was cool specially his black and red cape. The alterworld was strange. The clown was a piece of work and all he needed was a small clown car to pop out of!

Ok, my Guilty pleasures arn't going to win any popularity votes and may actually raise a few Eyebrows, but hey, that's why they are a guilty pleasure

                                      Center Stage

Yeah sure is a bit contrived, but there is something that always brings me back to watch this again and again. My family likes it as well so it's got to be genetic.

I just love the humor in this show, even if the story maybe weak. I have to pop this in from time to time just to chuckle.

Lines like "That's a Hugh Bitch" and "Man Whore" always brings me back

I have many more guitly pleasures, however I won't bore you with them. Those 3 are ones I know I watch almost monthly.
