Hi...I'm new to the club and finally got the system setup last weekend. However, I'm still pretty confused about Bass Management.
Does this setup seem correct given the current state of 1066 firmware? Is there an alternative configuration that might sound better? Is there an impact to performing bass management after delay adjustments for a smallish (14x15x9) room?
SACD Player
DVD-Audio Player
Rotel RSP-1066
Sony TA-P9000ES
Outlaw ICBM
Rotel RMB-1075
About 12 zillion interconnects (41!)
1. DVD-A and SACD are switched through the TAP.
2. 1066 uses TA-P9000 Bypass.
3. TA-P9000 output goes into ICBM
4. ICBM Set to crossover bass at 60 Hz for Left/Right main. Rest of speakers at 120 Hz. (small satellite speakers). Recombine off.
5. TA-P9000 Output to ICBM.
6. ICBM LFE out goes to subwoofer.
7. L/R/C, L/R Surround to RMB-1075.
8. RSP-1066 Speaker setup set to all large.
Take care.
Howard
