    Legally Blond

    Legally Blond

A highly popular blond, Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon), embarks on a course to win back her man Warner Huntington III(Matthew Davis). You see, Warner is heading off to Harvard Law and Elle isn't the type of girl for a future senator. Elle makes the decision of her life and decides to taker her 4.0 fashion business and goes to Harvard Law. So a fish out of water scenario ensues, but of course it all turns out for the best.

What I found quite enjoyable is Reese's peformance. She is in practically on screen all the time and her energy level as Elle is very beleivable. She never loses her outlook on life and if anything, this isn't a 'dumb blond' movie. She's got some smarts and a whole lot of integrity while those around her are less than what they seem.

I avoided this movie in the theaters and actually went to watch Kiss of the Dragon instead, but in hind sight, I really enjoyed this movie more. Hence the purchase.

Of interest for those that watch Alias, Victor Gerber who play's Jack Bristow, play's Professor Callahan in the movie. From the seperated at birth file, Ali Larter, who play's Brooke Taylor-Windhame, is a look alike for jazz signer Diana Krall.

The dvd contains both full screen and widescreen anamorphic versions. There's 2 featurettes and 2 commentary tracks and several deleted scenes with introductions by the director. It should be noted that this is one of those DVD-14 discs. Both versions and commentary on side 1 and the rest of the special features on side 2.

Bought that one for my daughter for Christmas. She enjoyed, it. I watched a bit of it with her one day, rather entertaining.
