Interesting "bit" coming your way on Sunday Oct 1. Tune in to MTV to see the debut of "Johnny Knoxville". Johnny, just happened to have grown up next door to me, I kid you not. P.J. Clapp, is a Knoxville native, the boy nextdoor.
They say his skits are hilarious. He was written up in the local newspaper today, entertainment section. It seems that MTV, Comedy Central, AND Saturday Night Live all offered "Johnny" gigs. Pretty amazing for a kid that had a dream at 18, went to hollywood to acting school, and dropped out after only a few weeks, lol. It seems his stardom occured because he did some outragious video stunts for a skateboard magazine.
They say he has film parts coming as well, including a film with Tim Allen! Pretty big time stuff actually.
To make this story even more amazing, what are the odds of 2 people in a 2 mile radious both making a name for themselves? Well, fact is, I went to high school with David Keith, star of "An Officer and a Gentleman", "Indian in a cupboard", and a cop TV show that lasted a year or so. He lived a mere 2 streets over. Talk about some outstanding school play work.
Sort of cool really,
Lex
