Blade Runner: SE - It's Coming!

Well folks, it seems we'll have a chance to pick up a THIRD version of Blade Runner in the not too distant future! The long-rumored, long-awaited Special Edition! I for one can't wait . . . the original negatives no less!! 3 discs!!! 5 discs (if they wanted to)!?!?!?!? Must . . breath. . slowly. . . sound of body hitting floor

Okay, I'm back. Check out the info on the DavisDVD site.

I hope at least *ONE* of those disks is a full tilt mamma SUPER-UBER-BIT mind numbing transfer doing justic to the audio as well. (Yeah, I know, WB doesn't do SB per se.) The orginal DVD looks like is was scaled up from a LBX Laser disk master. Not the best, not what it deserves. I'm really looking forward to this, though I expect it will be a while for them to finish all the work. If we have it by Christmas, we should count ourselves lucky!

    Regards,

    Jon

I have Blade Runner on a CAV laserdisc (2discs), in the directors cut. Will the SE be the directors cut, I wonder ? I'll likely go for the dvd when it comes out. I didn't think the first dvd version was much better than my ld.
