I believe that is one of the concept models that were made when they were designing the Nautilus speakers (the snail shells). it isn't a production model or anything if that was what you were thinking.

The blog that you refer to includes a number of items including the new 800 Diamond series relacinf the current 800 series, the P5 headphones and zeppelin mini. As to the photo you have I agree with the post above, it appears to be some version of the nautilus, which was never released to production or a mock-up.

The speakers shown are the model 808 from around 1985.

It was a concept model for the nautilus. Was a very small scale rendition. I have a picture of it in the nautilus book i have. Was only a few centimeters in size.

My apologies, I missed the obvious. That speaker was definitely one of the early prototypes for the original Nautilus. The photo came from the research center in Steyning, England. Of course, the 808 is a great speaker too!

I thought you all might appreciate this picture of early Nautilus prototypes.

Thought you guys may find this interesting.....

B&W wasn't the first to come up with this snail shell design, back in the late 20's Western electric had a speaker system that used a snail shell concept, while nothing like the nautilus in performance, it was none the less ahead of its time in the design.
