Can two sub amps be bridged?

    Greetings,
In my budget car audio days, I remember that you could bridge any two channel amp, and IIRC you merely had to reverse the polarity of one of the inputs and then tie the two corresponding outputs together (I'm sure it's more complicated than this, but if so, then can two subwoofer amps be used on one Big sub and bridged together the same way?

No you can't bridge two amps...at least not usually. The only one I know of that can do this is the marantz monoblocks but for the cost of two of those you could buy a nice pro amp that would have more power anyway.
