    B&W 804s

    Hello,
I am getting a pair of b&w 804s in either black or rosenut and I have seen a couple of setups in the rosenut but not in the black. If anyone has pictures of thier own setups of either the 804s or 803s in black can you please post them. I went to my local dealer and all they had was cherry and even though they were nice, I would rather have the rosenut or black.
    Thank you

Better hurry. There's lots of buzz about a new 800 line for early next year which will replace the 804s with a more expensive 804d. See the thread (with lots of noise) on HTGUIDE.COM

Kal is right - the time is NOW! From what I understand, the 804S's are sold out from the factory. That means that dealers cannot order any more, what they have is what they have.

To see photo's of various setups, check out the sticky thread at the top of the Club B&W. I'm sure in the 80 or so pages there will be some 804S's in all colors for you to see.

The sell-down prompted me to get off the fence and purchase a pair of 803S's in light cherry. I LOVE THEM!!! (as much as someone should "love" material items...)

Good luck and let us know what you decide!

I just got some 805Ss for the same reason. The new 805Ds are probably great but twice the price. B&W will likely come out with something new to fill the gap in their line created by the all "D" 800 series.

Lucky man... I just tried to get the 804S and HTM3S in Rosenut as I am being forced by B&W to upgrade..

I can get the 804S since my dealer still has a pair, but the HTM3S is history..

                            Very nice, Omar!

While the speakers are breaking in (about 100 hours), I would consider lowering the TV some and hide the wires in the wall!

I still need to do a lot of things to have the room looking perfect, but for now I am just going to enjoy the speakers.

Awe man...I love black... I was torn between black and Rosenut. I love how the yellow kevlar mids contrasts off the black. Wanna trade for Rosenut?

Yea it was his setup that made me finally decide on Rosenut although ultimately I would of took any color as I bought them for the sound quality first, heh. BTW, a lot of 804S's and Emotiva's in da' house. :T

                                          omar,

                                          Very nice system. Very pleasing.

I have one idea. If your situation allows (kids, WAF, etc.), try moving the speakers forward a small bit into the room, just in front of the entertainment center. Even though the EC is not too big, it is a box in the room. The more you can minimize the box or get away from it, the better.

For example, move the center channel so it just overhangs the front of the shelf it is on. Then move the mains to be equal on the front plane. It should minimize the impact of the front corners on the 804S's.

Also, are the 804S's spiked? If not, that is also a nice tweak for them.

                                          Enjoy your improved system!

The 804S's are spiked, and I still plan to move things around a bit to see what looks the best and sounds the best as well, I also need to hide the wires.

I decided to purchase the 803s and the htm3s over xmas. The dealer was great to deal with, good price, and they match the n800 mains. I wasn't planning on the 803s but the price and the fact that it will be going up, I just couldn't resist. I am very pleased with set.
