Need help setting up BFD filters

Andrew Pratt kindly recommended I come here since this is where the experts are at.Here are my numbers:
    Freq Raw Comp
    16 75 86.5
    18 72 80.0
    20 75 82.5
    22 84 90.5
    25 84 89.0
    28 78.5 82.5
    31.5 80.5 83.5
    36 91.5 94.0
    40 97 99.5
    45 102.5 104.5
    50 108 109.5
    56 83 84.5
    63 104 105.5
    71 89 90.5
    80 94 95.5
    89 96 97.5
    100 90 92

As you can see I have several peaks and dips. Where should I begin? I tried to make it flat but really had to boost several dips quite high. I am using Sonnie's excel program and tones. It seems I run out of filters before I get everything smoothed.

You can't really boost dips. They are cause by sound waves cancelling each other and trying to boost them is like pumping power into a black hole. Try moving the speaker and/or your chair until you don't have any serious dips. Peaks, even pretty big ones, are okay - they can be EQ'd down with the BFD.

Follow the instructions posted on Sonnie Parker's SnapBug Website

As Dennis said start by using 'cut' to get rid of the peaks. Experiment with the filter bandwidth settings so as to use the fewest number of filters.

You can fine tune the finished curve by using a little boost BUT don't over do it

So should I try to cut to the level of the lowest dip or slightly higher. I was afraid if I cut to much I wouldn't have enough power left on the amp. I'll give it a shot and see what happens. thanks.

No, move the speaker or your chair so you don't have those big dips . Then play with the EQ to knock down the peaks.

Unfortunately I can't move the sub or the listening position more than an inch or two either way, but I'll try it tommorrow.

Not to worry. Using cut doesn't cause problems. It's using too much boost that causes amps to run out of gas.....

Here are the new nubers with the sub facing the wall. They look more manageable to me. I know I probable won't have ruler flat response but anything will be an improvement.

Since there's a rise between 40-63Hz start by dialing in cut with a 50Hz filter. Vary the bandwidth of the filter to get the best results

I got a few hours to work on it and this is with 5 filters:

                    FREQ RAW COMP

                    16 72.5 84
                    18 70.5 78.5
                    20 69 76.5
                    22 72 78.5
                    25 74.5 79.5
                    28 70.5 74.5
                    31.5 73 76
                    36 80.5 83
                    40 82.5 85
                    45 82.5 84.5
                    50 86 87.5
                    56 79 80.5
                    63 81.5 83
                    71 78 79.5
                    80 78.5 80
                    89 83 84.5
                    100 88 90

Obviously I still have some work to do but I'm getting there.
                    Thanks for the suggestions.
