Here ye! here ye ! Gather you all with your drivers and "tubes". We shall move the earth and make them listen! Oh, oops, wait a minute, that was my acceptance speech for the Democratic convention and I missed the plane/boat.........!

Anyway, hello all, glad to be onboard

Just a couple of quick FYI things:

1)I'm NOT an audio/electrical engineer, my audio/HT background/knowledge is from being in the "business" retail-wholesale-mfgr(this was 20+ years ago), and building stuff for almost 40 years, (everything from speakers to FPTV kits).

2)The title on the door is "Mr Knows-a-lot", NOT, "Mr Knows-it-all"

Lex, the "thingie" on the top of the sub is a periscope! Port is something one drinks

Now that we have that straight, on to business...

Just to keep things interesting I'll post info regarding some of the more recent "Extreme DIY" projects that Jon H.(he's a "real" engineer) and I have completed.
The "WhisperProject" is now operational, and as soon as I can get the photos developed and uploaded, they'll be on this forum first.

There are also 2 projects in the "pipeline".

One is sort of a "copy" of the $60,000 Martin Logan "Statement". This will be built in stages starting with a line array utilizing 8 Focal 8" kevlar midwoofers.

The other is a new smaller version of the the 12 Shiva's IB.

So tune-in, and drop-by, lets build something!

      Regards
      Thomas

Oh wow, we get premier coverage of the presentation of the new Whisper Klones! Awesome

Very nice "here I am" acceptance speech, and now for the inauguration! lol. Oh, on the sub, so that's the periscope! I should have known,

I think we will have to work Thomas into the Xtreme in conjunction to DIY as well. After all, he is in a word, Mr. Extreme! lol.

I said it before, I say it again, this is going to be fun.

Na, but when I was younger and only slightly more foolish, I "surfed" in the storm surge of a hurricane!

Congrats Thomas! I think that your new position is extremely valid and appropriate, especially since you're my DIY mentor! I will definitely visit this area more than the DIY area on the HTF for sure!

                Congratulations again!
