    I haven't tried those but it looks like they share the same problem of most of the pro crossovers - fixed XO slopes. That's okay if your drivers are flat well above/below the pass band but most real world drivers require custom electrical slopes to combine with the natural acoustic rolloff of the drivers. For example to get a 4th order LR acoustic XO, you might have to use a 2nd order electrical lowpass and a 3rd order electrical highpass. As well, you might have to adjust the corner frequencies of the highpass and lowpass to get things in phase. Then there's baffle step compensation, etc. The new Marchand lets you customize things that way. Or you can buy one of Linkwitz' circuit boards and build what you need from scratch.
