    Speaker Placement

When setting up my room the speakers are supposed to be an equilateral triangle right? So there 10 feet apart. Does this mean my chair should be 10 feet from the speakers coming to the top point of the triangle? Or 10 feet from the middle of the 2 speakers?

lol! Each leg of the triangle should be 10 feet. From your chair, ten feet to the left, ten feet to the right, and ten feet between left and right. This they call an equilateral triangle, where all sides are of equal length. Be sure to measure it EXACTLY, or the mojo might be lost.

You know, I always setup and tune by ear. Funny how I always wind up with a setting that closely matches the text book way of doing it (the equilateral triangle, speakers aimed right behind your head, etc..)...lol. I could make it so much easier on myself if I just did it by the book up front instead of fiddling around all the time, heh.

So I ended up with the same result as emig5m did. Speakers 10 feet apart, siting 10 feet away, toed in to a point 2 feet behind my head. My dealer said you should be able to just see the inside wall/surface of the speaker when in your sweet spot. My sound stage has improved drastically
