Hey guys and gals,
As many of you know, I've had a bit of a back problem since Xmas time this last Holiday season. Well, the specialist I visited last Thursday to review my MRI regarding treatment options said that as usual, I'm a bit of an over achiever, and have a lumbar disk hernia "that's as big as the state of Texas". That is a direct quote.
So, considering options, I started pre-op preparations last Thursday, and will go into surgery this Tuesday afternoon for a "lumbar micro discectomy". 8O It's not nearly as nasty as it might sound, last only an hour and a half, and the prognosis is quite good that I'll be pretty much good as new in a couple of months.
I probably won't be on the board as much as I like most of next week- heck, I haven't been in the last few weeks, anyway, because the meds to cope with my current condition wipe me out a bit. But things should be back to our wacky definition of normal in the fairly near future! :B
In the mean time, I'm sure ThomasW will pick up the slack, and I'll be following events as often as possible.
Best regards,
Jon
