How much ventilation for amp/receiver in wall?

I built an in wall cabinet for my Rotel 1075 5ch amp, and my 1056 receiver.

Can I get some feedback from others who have done this - how much ventilation is needed??

I purchased a 120mm fan, and I plan to cut out a hole in the top of the cabinet and install the fan there.

My concern is that it will only really help the component on the top shelf (in this case thats the 1075 amp)

The Receiver gets very hot during use, especially towards the rear, right above where the digital inputs are. (And this was before the new cabinet)

    Any recommendations?

You should be fine with the one fan. You might find the 1056 gets a lot hotter then the 1075 ever will, so perhaps moving the 1056 on top.
