    Subwoofer with stereo amp

How can I connect a subwoofer to an stereo integrated amplifier and also my pair of B&Ws?

If your sub supports it you can run speaker-level connections, ie. run the L/R speaker cables to the sub's speaker inputs and then run on to the speakers from the sub's speaker outs. Then set the high- and low-pass filters on the sub to suit your listening preferences.

Based on the diagram, you could also run a line level connection from the "pre-out" section.

Or you can invest in an external xover.

I am using a Behringer CX2310 in my 2ch setup works a treat.

There are other more expensive units as well.

And how do you control the volumen of the loudspeaker and the sub? Both from the amp?

You'd set the level on the sub itself to "balance" with the mains. I'd set it up at normal listening level to do this. Then you'd control the main volume from the integrated amp.

The CX2310 is a great little crossover, it's low price doesn't reflect it's very good sound quality.... :T

I love Behringer products. I have some of them: Mixer, Virtual amplification, effects.
So if, at the end, I decided to buy a subwoofer I will buy the CX2310
