AV32R-EX Purchase Options

Buzz,

Are the USA dealers permitted to sell to Canada or is this something that Tag regulates? I have purchased a new AV32R-EX but, many dealers from the USA were concerned or not sure if the product could be sold outside the USA. I do understand that the warranty or hardware upgrades will be handled direct by Tag but, wondering about not getting anyone into hot water. Do I register the warranty direct or put it through the dealer I bought it from? TIA

Go ahead and regiseter you processor so you can be automatically notified of updates.
Dealers are not supposed to sell outside of an area they can service. If there is no local dealer we prefer to sell it ourselves as we know who will be supporting it .
Enjoy the machine. And hold off on the DPLII upgrade; save it for a rainy day when you have upgraditis; it's a cheap change!

I ordered it with DPL2 so, I'll have to wait for the discrete 6.1 upgrade. How long before the backorders on the download cable will be filled?
I'm really looking forward to the new processor and will be comparing it directly with the Denon 5800 that I have in my system now!

Sorry about the cable backorder. We got caught on one component shortage. I am still waiting a ship date from the UK. We will be air-freighting them in. Did you order the cable for yourself or is the dealer awaiting it?

I ordered the cable from the dealer that is getting the processor for me. It's not a big deal at this time since it is not required for any upgrade's that I know of anyway!

You need the cable to do the DPL II upgrade, unless the dealer does it before he ships the unit.
THat will mean you get an opened package, if you care about that sort of thing.

The dealer will be doing the install of the DPLII so, I guess he will have to open the box which is the only way for me to get the DPLII right now. It's not a big deal. Also, I have to order a new 2-ch amp for the back surround's. Will I have enough channel's (7.1) for future upgrades (AVR192) ? Or, should I order a 5/6ch amp for the future upgrade path?

Any word on the Tagtronic cables yet? I should have my unit here in a couple weeks. Also, is there any way that the AV32R-EX can be rack mounted?

I have used the custom cut shelves from MA before but, was just wondering if any rack tabs were available for the AV32R-EX to mount it with out having to buy another shelf.

Rick, I am dying to hear your thoughts of the AV32R, you know mine, I plan nto marry the thing, but since you've gone the whole hog and gone for the EX DPL2 version it's going to be great to hear your feedback.

I really need to order that TAG cable myself and go get DPL 2...

Hey, Dan!

As soon as I get the AV32R-EX I'll give my impressions. I feel that this will be very interesting since I have a 3600 watt 6-ch amp that is being used with a Denon 5800 as a processor. The Denon for music in Pure Direct mode is very clean. I will be happy if there is even a little improvement with the Tag......we'll see.

By all means register it and yourself as an owner on the web site. That way you can opt in for auto notification of upgrades.
So does this mean you've received it???????

Rick, you do realize that a duplicate post is a violation of section 149 paragraph 55542AZ541 of the Internetional Forum By-Laws and can be punishable by requiring the purchaser of such unit to add said manufacturer's power amplifiers, DVD players, F3s, and other fine products. I think there was something in there about loosing TTP rights, or some such.

But other than that, it's way cool! Was nice knowing ya, lol.
