I am awaiting delivery of my AV32R, which should be here anyday. Can't wait. I was initially considering using the Sony ES9000 for CD and DVD play, but it turns out that I might not need a progressive DVD player with the projector I am considering. So, now I am thinking about using a fairly inexpensive interlaced player, along with a separate CD player.
Does anyone (especially Buzz) have a recomendation for a separate CD player that would match well with the AV32R. I'd love to get the Tag unit, of course, but I think it's out of my price range. Also, I assume that since the DAC's in the AV32R are so good and it does not have an analog pass through, I would not have a need for an expensive CD player that has really good DAC's. On the other hand, it seems that a better quality player would deal with issues like jitter, etc. better than a cheaper player. I am looking the range of $700 to $1200. Any suggestions?
Phil
