    Zenith Turntable Repair

I found a late '70's Zenith sterio in the trash. The radio and tape deck works great. It is a 70 watt unit and would play 78 rpm records if the the turntable worked. The turntable is frozen--it will not move, and when the system is put into "phono" mode, it makes a low humming noise. How can I repair the turntable and where would I buy the parts?

If you are a technician and can repair the unit yourself then your parts supplier would help in that department. If not, and supposing you're pretty handy, you're gonna have to figure out what part seems to need replacing and maybe search the web or find out where your local tv repair store get their parts from and go there.

Short of all that....... the possiblility of finding available parts for that unit maybe pretty slim.
